Inspired by her work, and a desire to work further with animals has led to where she is now the current owner of Pet Power. Sorcha Is keen to continue the work of Jackie Fitzgerald and Stephen MacDonald.
Sorcha uses her skills in kinesiology and homeopathy to help give the best outcome for the animals she encounters. She has a growing practice in both human and animal clients.
Sorcha is a member of the Royal Society of Homeopaths and Society of Natural Therapists and Researchers.

Christina has always found joy in being in nature and around animals. She grew up surrounded by a menagerie of animals – dogs, cats, goats, chickens, goldfish, a turtle, budgies and a lorikeet – and also enjoyed spending time around the horses at the local riding school. Christina’s deep connection to nature and a desire to care for both people and animals led her on a journey into the world of natural therapies.
Christina is a highly qualified homeopath and has been working in the field of natural therapies for over 20 years. She graduated from the Australian Institute of Homeopathy in 1998, and then went on to do further study in kinesiology, mind-body medicine and bioresonance therapy. She has had extensive post-graduate training in advanced homeopathic medicine and is an Associate Fellow of the International Institute of Advanced Homoeopathy. She is also a professional member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society and a Senior Fellow of the Society of Natural Therapists & Researchers.
Christina is an experienced lecturer and course writer and she has taught at various natural medicine colleges in Australia. She also travelled to India to study with Dr Parimal Banerji and Dr Ruma Bhattacharya, two of the world’s leading homeopaths. Upon returning to Australia, Christina applied many of Dr Banerji’s methods in her clinic and was also given the privilege to teach Dr Banerji’s Advanced Homeopathy post-graduate training course.

Animals, Homeopathy & My Life by Jackie Fitzgerald

Forward by Dr Rowan Blogg MSc, American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists, Specialist Consulting in Natural Eye Therapies:

“This is a good book to read whether you are an animal owner or not.  You will read it because it will give you joy.  You will become more warm hearted and more sensitive to the unseen reality of our connection with animals.  It tells the journey of Jackie, who started as a dog groomer with a good heart, and through an unconventional path by western standards became an intuitive healer….

This book will help those who suspect they think too little from the animal’s point of view but have a stirring in their soul for providing better animal health.

Many in the Western world are too ready to debunk that which does not follow a traditional university path.  This book will help some to turn their minds to think that animal care is the main motive for study.  What might benefit the animal?  Jackie helps to give different meanings to the words ‘training’ and ‘scientific’.

In this book you will hear about Dr Parimal Banerji of Calcutta who practices homeopathy according to the rules laid down by Dr Samuel Hahnemann in the eighteenth and early nineteenth century. Dr Banerji practices medicine in a way we do not see in the west, seeing with a medical team one to two thousand people each day….

In Australia, Jackie talked to Women for Dairying who became interested in cheaper medicines for dairy farmers. This brought government Farmbiz funding and accreditation for Jackie in all states of Australia.  This is a considerable endorsement for her unconventional therapy.

Human nature is bound up with animal nature.  Animals are teachers.  Remain unaware of this and we are diminished.

Jackie believes we are on earth to learn, and disease is part of the lessons.  She wants us to listen to the whispers of trouble before they become shouts.  It is difficult to measure the values of our lives.  If we measure life by how much we help others we are moved to warmly say thank you to Jackie.”

Jackie Fitzgerald

Jackie was one of the very few homeopaths in Australia with a special interest in working with animals.  Jackie had a profound understanding of animals and dedicated her life to helping them.  During her long career she assisted thousands of pet owners and farmers with her homeopathic medicines and natural health products.

Articles about Jackie and the way she cared for animals were published in the Sydney Morning Herald, Women’s Weekly, Wellbeing, Acres Australia and in many other papers and magazines.  She also appeared on Good Morning Australia, The Midday Show, The Steve Vizard Show, the ABC and many radio programs.

Jackie also travelled to India to study with Dr Parimal Banerji.  She was very enthusiastic about Dr Banerji’s Advanced Homeopathy and applied his methods to helping both animals and people, resulting in a flourishing practice.

Unfortunately, Jackie is no longer with us, but her spirit lives on in the legacy of the animals she cared for and the people she inspired.

If you would like to know more about Jackie’s journey, there are a limited number of copies of her autobiography Animals, Homeopathy & My Life, which you can purchase here
